I like this photo.

Now, I'm not a photography expert, but there's definitely a few things that could be fixed here in my opinion. A lot of it is blurry (from the camera, not from the desired photoshop effect, I'd guess), and out of focus. I'd try to avoid those kinds of shots. also, you could try to use a little macro. Maybe also zoom out a bit, or de-saturate the skin? It's a little hard to tell that it's a face at first, another thing that could be due to your camera. Maybe consider investing in a new one? I'd also try and explain the concept of the photo a little more. :] I hope this helps!
